Hannah has a passion for designing and making using a very wide variety of materials and mediums. She graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design and San Diego State University majoring in jewellery and silversmithing in 1997. Her secondary subjects were textiles, including weaving and fabric dying which was persued as a design assistant and archivist for an Afican wax printing company for several years. After graduating Hannah set up her business designing and manufacturing contemporary jewellery from her workshop in the centre of Knutsford, attending many trade and retail shows each year resulting in supplying over 80 shops nationally and internationally. Hannah has taught at several regional colleges since 1998 and enjoys imparting her knowledge to students, helping them to achieve their goals. Hannah attended the guild as a student in 1990 where her thirst for knowledge developed and went on to teach at the guild from1998. Hannah currently spends her time teaching, taking commissions nationally and internationally, looking after her family and developing her skills in a variety of disciplines including dressmaking and upholstry. over the last few years Hannah has been training in upholstry and is now able to undertake commisions, her recent designs can be viewed on her facebook page "Laverock Designs".
