Rebecca Lawley graduated in 1996 from Sheffield Hallam University with a BA in metalwork and jewellery. On leaving university she started 925 North Jewellery with a fellow Sheffield Hallam graduate.
Rebecca continued in 925 North until 2001 at which point she left to concentrate on her young family and complete a PGCE in Adult and Further Education.
In 2004 she was accepted as a member of the starter studio programme at Persistence works in Sheffield and there concentrated on developing her technical skills. Today, she works from her studio in Stockport, Greater Manchester and divides her time between teaching and silversmithing.
