ThisIntroductory course on mindfulness pulls together the fact that our forefathers had different words for the same things: being present: being thoughtful: centring: being aware: the state of objectless consciousness: hearing silence: being still: to name a few terms.
Using our intelligence wisely was always valued by people, and has come into the 21st century as mindfulness. For example opening up to how we use our words, use over and under tones of voice, and even how we open a door. The key point being listening. Mindful listening will be explained as we go along.
We will use what we see around us, and from our daily experiences. This course is not primarily academic, as it is an interactive course where participation is required.
