Come and spend a day in convivial and expert company, exploring the hearts of three communities of migrants who contributed to the vibrant history of Manchester! This walking tour of three areas will commence in the vicinity of the old Jewish community of Cheetham Hill, and proceed afterwards to the historic Irish and Italian centres of the city. You are advised to bring a packed lunch and provide for the vagaries of Manchester weather! A lunch break and ample rest stops will be incorporated. The walking tour will take place on Sunday 16th June.
Your tutor, Gill Rossini, will highlight key locations, personalities and buildings along the way, and weave the three communities together in their contribution to the city's history, illustrating the historic diversity of of one the North's jewels in its crown.
