Nineteenth Century Poetry: Romantics and Victorians Thursdays 10.30 2018/19

Romantic poets were concerned with nature, imagination and the self.  Victorians wrestled with the consequences of industrialism and issues of faith and doubt.  We trace developing poetic reactions to social, economic and philosophical change through such writers as Wordsworth, Blake, the Brontes, Tennyson, and Hopkins.
